Complete Licensed Skipper

This UNIQUE Skipper Training Program is designed in cooperation with our PARTNERS;  World Yachting Charter and AdriaLibar for people who have decided to independently navigate the vessel for private or comercial purposes. It is also for those who want more confidence at sea, experience, and fine-tuning of existing knowledge.

The theoretical and practical lessons will enable the attendees to understand and learn what it means to be a skipper, main obligations and responsibilities, and what kind of knowledge is expected. Attendees will get an excellent knowledge base and be ready for the exam (Skipper License-Boat Leader’s Licence Category C).

Short description

From the first day, students learn about the complete organization on the boat, as well as everyday duties on-board, cleaning, cooking, etc. The main aspect of the training will include the following skills; getting familiar with all parts of the boat, maneuvering the boat, docking and undocking, use of the anchor, handling the instruments, VHF, terestric navigation, reading nautical charts, navigation, learning about basic sailing rules, basic meteorology, trimming of sails, knots, basics of marine engine, safety on board, international regulations for preventing collisions at sea, man overboard and all other issues related to when you check-in and check-out a boat in charter.

*The practical part of the lessons is held on a sailboat from Tuesday until Friday.

• Navigation
• Docking, undocking a boat under different sets of circumstances 
• Points of sailing 
• Basic knowledge of motor repairs and maintenance
• Maritime law, meteorology and first aid
• Boat maneuvering and collision avoidance
• Maritime radio communication service
• Safety at sea

Note

• After successful completion of the course and examination at the Harbour Office, candidates will receive a international Boat Leader’s Licence Category C  issued by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of Republic of Croatia.

   *This licence is recognized worldwide.

CHECK IN:     Saturday from 8 a.m.

DURATION: 7 days

ACCOMMODATION: During all seven days the attendees will be situated on the boat - 6 overnight stays.

MEALS

• Breakfast on board-team prepares breakfast
