SAILING LEVEL- No experience, Beginner

Basic sailing course aims to familiarize attendees with the basic terms and techniques of sailing through a theoretical and practical approach. The theory includes an introduction to basic terms related to a sailboat and sailing, points of sailing, reading nautical charts, fundamentals of meteorology, rules at sea (avoiding collision etc.), rescuing a man at sea in MOB (man overboard) scenario and more.

Practical preparing the boat for sailing, how to adjust sails according to the wind direction, sailing maneuvers, tacking and jibing techniques, sailing with a given course, reefing the sails, handling ropes, making basic knots, etc. From the first day, we also go over the complete organization of the boat, as well as everyday duties on-board for cleaning etc. 

*In fact, the attendees will get an excellent knowledge base and be ready for the (skipper license) exam (optional).

DAILY SCHEDULE

• 09:00 a.m. Breakfast in apartments
• ​10:00 a.m. Theoretical lecture
• 11:00 a.m. Practical classes at sea
• 02:00 p.m. Lunch Break
• 03:00 p.m. Practical classes at sea
• 05:00 p.m. Arrival in marina
• 07:00 p.m. Dinner

BASE: Marina Jadranovo - Jadranovo

CHECK IN: Saturday from 4 p.m.
CHECK OUT: Friday till 16 p.m.

SAILING BOAT: FARR 30

ACCOMMODATION: During all three days the attendees will be situated in apartments - 2 overnight stays.

MEALS: 

• Breakfast in apartments - team preparing breakfast
• Lunch on-board - lunch package or team cooking.
• Dinners are organized as follows -in local taverns or on the boat-with the team preparing meals.
